Dans certains épisodes, des chansons apparaissent (parfois même des épisode entiers sont créés comme une comédie musicale). Les Simpson sortent parfois des albums musicaux composés de ses chansons ainsi que des chansons inédites (voir dossier Simpson Park).

Ainsi, plus de 40 musiques orginales des neuf dernières saisons des Simpson ont été regroupées pour un album. Ce nouvel album s'appelle The Simpsons: Testify. Il sera distribué par Shout! Factory à partir du 18 septembre 2007.

De nombreux artistes seront dans cet album tels que Jackson Browne, Shawn Colvin, David Byrne ou encore les B-52's.
